Android Could Soon Get Apple’s Dynamic Island with Rich Ongoing Notifications

Android is gearing up to take on Apple’s Dynamic Island feature with its own take on at-a-glance information in the status bar. According to journalist , who spotted the code in the Android 15 QPR1 Beta 3 release, Google is developing a new Android API called “Rich Ongoing Notifications.”

How It Will Work

These Rich Ongoing Notifications are expected to function similarly to the time tracker that appears during phone calls. Imagine a small, interactive bubble at the top of your screen displaying essential information from an app. A tap on this bubble will open the app for a more detailed view.

This feature could be a game-changer for Android, offering a more streamlined and intuitive way to stay informed about ongoing activities without disrupting your workflow.
