Search Continues for Missing Teen in Bergen
Bergen, Norway – A search is underway for a teenage boy who went missing in Bergen on Thursday evening. The boy was last seen in Sandviken on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Details of the Missing Person
The missing boy is described as approximately 175 to 180 centimeters tall, of slim build, with blond curly hair. He was last seen wearing a black and white cap and a black bubble jacket.
Search Efforts Underway
Police launched a search operation throughout the evening and night, collaborating with volunteer crews from the Red Cross, Norwegian Rescue Dogs and Norwegian People’s Aid. The search included foot patrols, vehicle searches, and drone surveillance.
“The police have searched for the missing person throughout the evening and night until Friday together with volunteers, without having found the boy,” stated operations manager Knut Dahl-Michelsen.
Search efforts have focused on specific tips received regarding possible sightings in the Loddefjord area and near the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) in Sandviken. Large areas of Bergen city center and surrounding districts have also been searched.
Continued Search and Public Appeal
Authorities plan to continue the search beyond Friday and will issue a new call for volunteer crews. The public is urged to contact the police at 02800 if they have any information regarding the boy’s whereabouts or have seen him.
Police are investigating all leads and are committed to locating the missing teenager.
