Mobile Veterinary Clinic Expands Spay and Neuter Services in Thomas County, Georgia
Thomas County, GA – A new mobile veterinary clinic is partnering with All Saints Cat TNR to increase access to affordable spay and neuter services, addressing the growing population of stray cats in the region.
Addressing a Growing Concern
All Saints Cat TNR, a local non-profit organization, has been working to control the stray cat population in Thomas County through a trap-neuter-return (TNR) program. Founded approximately three years ago by Kristen Manza, the program began with Manza trapping, neutering, and returning cats from her one-bedroom apartment. As of March 2026, All Saints Cat TNR has spayed or neutered 737 cats and found loving homes for 92 All Saints Cat TNR.
Partnership with Paws First Mobile Veterinary Clinic
To expand its reach and serve more animals, All Saints Cat TNR has partnered with Paws First Mobile Veterinary Clinic. This collaboration brings affordable spay and neuter services directly to the community, particularly in rural areas with limited veterinary coverage. Dr. Tracie Guy, founder of Paws First Mobile Veterinary Clinic, explained the mobile model was designed to reach communities with the greatest need WTXL.
Reducing Shelter Overcrowding
A central goal of the partnership is to reduce the number of animals entering shelters. Georgia faces an overpopulation problem with animals, and spay and neuter programs are crucial in addressing this issue. The mobile clinic aims to build these services more accessible and affordable for pet owners and those caring for community cats.
Community Response and Future Plans
The community response to the partnership has been overwhelmingly positive. Clinic dates are filling up quickly, with the next clinic on March 22nd already at full capacity. The cost for a spay or neuter procedure, including a rabies shot, is $75. All Saints Cat TNR accepts donations of food, money, and supplies to support its efforts WTXL.
