Police Have Questioned Father of SMAN 72 Explosion Student, Mother Still Abroad

Jakarta – Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto said that his party had questioned the father of the student who was the perpetrator of the SMAN 72 explosion in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. The perpetrator’s mother is said to still be abroad.

“The father of ABH (child in conflict with the law) has been asked for details, including several other witnesses,” said Budi at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Headquarters, wednesday (2025/11/12).

Simultaneously occurring, the police have not yet questioned the biological mother of the perpetrator student. Budi said his mother was abroad at the moment.

“(Mother) is still abroad, working,” he explained.
