Printful and Printify Combine Forces for expanded Reach
The combination of Latvian-origin technology companies Printful and Printify will substantially accelerate business growth, enable entry into new market segments, and expand geographic reach, according to Alex saltonstall, CEO of the joint company.
Combining companies is a complex and costly process, but the greatest contribution wasn’t financial-it was the dedication and effort of our team, notes saltonstall. He explains that small teams from both companies worked intensely for over six months to implement the deal. “At this point, the most challenging work is complete, and we’ve reached the finish line, ensuring both companies, operating under the Printful and Printify brands, function as a unified mechanism,” says Saltonstall.
What motivated Printful and Printify to merge?
The merger process was lengthy, as both companies were already prosperous. We decided to merge for three key reasons. First, we aimed to significantly improve customer service quality. Previously, both companies offered a broad range of services, but we’ve now refined the positioning of each brand, helping new customers more easily understand which platform best suits their needs. Second,we focused on the supply chain. Printify relied on third-party production, while Printful primarily used its own facilities. Our analysis concluded that the most effective solution would be to combine these approaches, offering customers the benefits of both – Printful’s production capacity and the advantages of Printify’s partner network. Third, we sought to foster innovation. Both companies had strong technology teams, but a important portion of their resources were spent developing solutions already created by the other. By merging, we can concentrate on creating new solutions-developing features once and deploying them across multiple platforms, directing resources toward innovation rather than duplication.
