BSP National Council Approves Rotating Parliament presidency
On Sunday, October 27, 2025, the BSP National Council formally endorsed the proposal for a rotating presidency of the parliament. The vote concluded with 100 members voting in favor,three abstentions,and two votes against the measure.
BSP representatives emphasized the necessity of explicitly enshrining the rotation principle within the joint management agreement. Furthermore, they called for a thorough review of previously agreed-upon policies. According to BSP officials, this decision reflects a commitment to political obligation and the maintenance of governmental stability.
“We insist that the rotation principle be explicitly laid down in the joint management agreement and that a complete review of the policies agreed upon be carried out,” stated a BSP spokesperson. “This decision is supported as an expression of political responsibility and consistency in the commitments made for the stability of the government.”
