‘Virgin River’ Team Breaks Down Biggest Finale Twists, Reveals What (and Who) to Expect in Season 7

The Season 6 finale of Netflix’s “Virgin River” left fans with more questions than answers, particularly after that shocking encounter Jack had with an unexpected visitor. Thankfully, the stars and showrunner of the beloved romance series were ready to spill the tea on all the big twists and teases.

After weeks of frantic searching, Jack (Martin Henderson) finally discovered a lead in Preacher’s (Colin Lawrence) almost-fatal disappearance. But instead of finding safety or closure, he uncovered a dangerous enemy lurking in
Virgin River’s forest.

“He runs into someone who’s not necessarily who Jack thinks they are,” showrunner Sue Tenney teases. “That encounter sets him off on a completely different path than he anticipated.”

Henderson elaborates: “There’s a full-blown panic – a very real confrontation that Jack doesn’t expect. It will push Jack to his absolute limit.”

But the finale wasn’t just about danger and mystery. Tenney confirms our hopes for Hope (Annette O’Toole) finding new love after mayor –forever!– Liam’s (Benjamin Hollingsworth) departure, saying:

“We definitely have loved interest for Hope coming up in Season 7.”

And while Tenney remains tight-lipped about Preach’s fate, she does drop a few tantalizing hints.

“Things are very ambiguous for Preacher at the end of Season 6. We didn’t want to spell things out fully, we wanted to leave some room for interpretation.”

But whether Preach lives or dies, Tenney promises Season 7 will bring plenty of surprises:

“We’re excited to explore new characters, go deeper into existing relationships, and take Virgin River on a completely new journey. Season 7 will definitely hold twists and turns you won’t see coming.”
