Social and environmental commitment and responsible finance are at the heart of Crédit Agricole CIB’s activities. Its approach is aligned with the Crédit Agricole Group’s strategic plan “Ambitions 2025” which is structured around 3 projects: a Customer Project, a Human Project and a Societal Project.

World leader in the Green Bonds market, the Sustainable Banking team brings together, within the Coverage department, professionals with advanced expertise in sustainable finance issues. Divided into three locations (Paris, New York and Hong Kong), the Sustainable Banking team benefits from global reach. This team thus serves all banking professions on a global scale to originate and execute sustainable finance operations on numerous asset classes (bonds, loans, securitization, etc.).

Within the team, you will collaborate with the different Business Lines to advise the Bank’s clients. (companies, financial institutions and local authorities/States) in their sustainable finance operations. You will be required to work across a multitude of sectors and geographic areas, being fully involved in meetings with clients and the team’s discussions related to sustainable development. Thus, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain responsibility in the team and be exposed to various ESG issues.

As such, your main missions will be as follows:

  • Analyze the sector and monitor developments in the Green, Social, Sustainability & Sustainability-Linked Bonds market as well as the Green and Sustainability-Linked Loans market:
    • monitoring and analysis of recent emissions,
    • updating databases,
    • monitoring news covering subjects at the heart of the ecological transition (eg the evolution of regulations at European level, the publication of scientific reports on climate or biodiversity, monitoring of ESG controversies, etc.)
  • Prepare discussion materials and commercial proposals for prospects and customers:
    • analysis of projects eligible for Green, Social or Sustainability Loans/Bonds,
    • the analysis of Key Performance Indicators with a view to a Sustainability-Linked Loan/Bond,
    • sectoral ESG analysis;
  • Contribute to the structuring of sustainable finance operations :
    • the drafting of the Green/Sustainability Financing Framework,
    • monitoring the development of a Second Party Opinion,
    • writing an Investor Presentation or an impact report, etc.
