Zelensky Warns of Potential Major War in Europe by 2029
Jakarta,CNBC Indonesia – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia under the leadership of Vladimir Putin was preparing to stage a “major war” in europe, which could start as early as 2029.
“We need more pressure on Russia. Based on the situation on the battlefield, we don’t see Russia wanting to stop,” Zelensky stated in a recent interview, as reported by CNN. He emphasized the need for increased international pressure to deter further Russian aggression.
Zelensky’s warning comes amid ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which began with Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022. He believes that if Ukraine falls, it will embolden Russia to continue its expansionist policies, potentially leading to a wider European conflict.
He specifically pointed to the need for continued military aid to Ukraine, arguing that a strong ukrainian defense is crucial for preventing a larger war. zelensky also called for increased sanctions against Russia and greater efforts to isolate the country internationally.
“If Ukraine falls, Putin will not stop. he will continue to test the West, and eventually, he will launch a full-scale attack on europe,” Zelensky warned. He urged Western leaders to recognize the gravity of the situation and to take decisive action to prevent a catastrophic outcome.
The Ukrainian President’s statements align with growing concerns among Western intelligence agencies about Russia’s long-term intentions. Several reports suggest that Russia is rebuilding its military capabilities and preparing for future conflicts. NATO has responded by increasing its military presence in Eastern Europe and strengthening its defense capabilities.
Zelensky’s warning serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing threat posed by Russia and the importance of international cooperation in maintaining peace and security in Europe. He stressed that the future of European security depends on the collective response to Russian aggression.
