MASON, OH − The Cincinnati Open women’s singles final matchup is set.

It will be a matchup of two Top 10 seeds on Centre Court of the Lindner Family Tennis Center aug. 18 when No. 3 seed Iga Swiatek faces No. 7 Jasmine Paolini for the Rookwood Cup (not before 6 p.m.).

Swiatek, the former World No. 1 and a mainstay atop the WTA rankings,knocked out Elena Rybakina in straight sets,7-5,6-3. She tied Elina Svitolina for the 11th-most career WTA 1000 wins (119) and is searching for her 11th title.

Paolini earned a hard-fought semifinal win over unseeded Veronika Kudermetova, 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-3. Paolini, the World No.9, is searching for her third career WTA 1000 title.

There’s no secret who the favorite will be. Swiatek is 5-0 all-time against Paolini,with only one match going three sets (Spain in 2024). The two last met earlier this year in Germany with Swiatek cruising, 6-1, 6-3.
