Chilean Women’s Hockey Team Advances to Semifinals of FIH World Cup Qualifiers

Santiago, Chile – The Chilean women’s national field hockey team, nicknamed “Las Diablas” (The Devils), secured their place in the semifinals of the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers with a 1-0 victory over France. The win ensures an undefeated run through the group stage for the team coached by Cristóbal Rodríguez.

The decisive goal came in the 8th minute, scored by Josefa Salas. Despite numerous opportunities for both sides, particularly through penalty corners, the score remained 1-0 until the final whistle.

Group Stage Performance
