NAMSOS: It was at 3.30pm on Monday that the police received a report that a semi-trailer had cut into the ground up from Salsnes, in the direction of Namsos.
The incident led to the southbound lane being completely blocked in the area near Setermyra.

Passage for passenger cars only
Operations manager in the police, Carina Hollås, stated early on that the situation created major obstacles for traffic.
– Passenger cars can pass, but not larger vehicles, stated Hollås.
Just before 5 p.m., the police reported that they were on the scene, that the area was secured, and that they were waiting for a tow truck.
TOWERS ON THE SITE: At 6.44 p.m., tow trucks are on the spot. The Swedish Road Administration reports on its website that the expected end time is 19.17.

– Freezes as soon as it hits the road
A tipster at the scene said that the weather conditions made the rescue and the situation challenging. According to the tipster, it was slippery on the stretch.
– The litter truck is behind the semi-trailer. It’s raining a bit now, and it freezes to ice as soon as it hits the road, informed the tipster from the scene at 5 p.m.
Opened after four hours
It took some time before the tow truck was on site and untied the semi-trailer. At 18.44 the recovery was under way, and for over four hours the road was practically closed to heavy vehicles.
At 19.42 the Norwegian Public Roads Administration was finally able to report that the road had been cleared and opened to free traffic in both directions.
