“So, the search carried out, for example, at the house of Brother F, yes, the KPK invited Brother F to be there, or other parties such as family members,” KPK Spokesman Budi Prasetyo told reporters at the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday (15/9/2025).

Budi explained that it had become a procedure that in a search, officers or homeowners would be asked to participate in witnessing the entire process. He said the owner could also help show the location to be searched.

“So indeed in the procedure in the field, there are authorized parties in the house or in the office to watch during the search process. At the same time, they can show anything that is being sought, the location where it can be shown,” explained Budi.

Regarding information that former Menpora Dito Ariotedjo was also present when Fuad’s house was searched, Budi did not answer clearly. however, he will check again about the details of who was present during the search.

KPK investigation Reveals Extensive Travel Agent Involvement in Hajj Quota Arrangement

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that over 100 travel agencies were involved in the arrangement of additional hajj pilgrimage quotas with the Ministry of Religion.this disclosure comes as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption surrounding the allocation of these quotas.

Acting Deputy for KPK Assistance and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu, stated during a press conference on August 12th, that numerous travel agents benefited from the distribution of additional pilgrim quotas. “Y]es, of course (explored), including we distributed it.right, the travel is not just one, dozens, even if I’m not mistaken more than 100, yes. Many,” Rahayu said.[https://wwwkompascom/nasional/read/2023/08/12/161949478/kpk-sebut-lebih-100-travel-terlibat-pengurusan-kuota-haji-tambahan[https://wwwkompascom/nasional/read/2023/08/12/161949478/kpk-sebut-lebih-100-travel-terlibat-pengurusan-kuota-haji-tambahan

The allocation of quotas was reportedly adjusted based on the size of the travel agency. Larger agencies received proportionally larger quotas, potentially up to 10,000, while smaller agencies received smaller allocations, sometimes as low as 10. Rahayu explained, “So there are a lot of divisions. Maybe if the big travels can be bigger, more like that, the quota, from the 10 thousand. If the small travel is 10 or made 10, like that. So it matches the travel, like that.” https://www.kompas.com/nasional/read/2023/08/12/161949478/kpk-sebut-lebih-100-travel-terlibat-pengurusan-kuota-haji-tambahan

This investigation follows scrutiny of the allocation of Hajj quotas, a process that has been subject to allegations of irregularities and corruption in the past. The KPK’s ongoing efforts aim to uncover any wrongdoing and ensure a fair and transparent system for Hajj pilgrimage access. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses, including information regarding the Maktour boss who recently fulfilled a KPK summons related to the corruption of the pilgrimage quota. https://www.kompas.com/nasional/read/2023/08/12/161949478/kpk-sebut-lebih-100-travel-terlibat-pengurusan-kuota-haji-tambahan
