A new scoreboard isn’t the only change Ohio State is planning for Value City Arena.
When the men’s and women’s basketball teams tip off the 2025-26 season, they will play on a newly designed court that will be unveiled June 13. It’s the first new court design since the start of the 2018-19 season and will be the 11th since St. John Arena opened in 1956-57.
The now-former court was on the floor as the men’s basketball program hosted team camp June 5-6 inside the arena.
The new court will arrive one year before the new scoreboard. Ohio State approved $5.2 million for a new one that will be installed during the summer of 2026 and fully operational for the start of the 2026-27 basketball seasons.
