Printemps du Cinéma 2026: Enjoy Films for Just €5
The annual Printemps du Cinéma (Spring of Cinema) event returns to France from March 22nd to 24th, 2026, offering moviegoers the chance to see films for a reduced price of just €5 per screening. This event, organized by the Fédération nationale des cinémas français (FNCF), aims to encourage attendance at local cinemas and produce the cinematic experience accessible to all.
A Weekend of Affordable Cinema
For three consecutive days – Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday – participating cinemas across France will offer all screenings at a flat rate of €5. This provides a unique opportunity for families, friends, or individuals to enjoy the latest releases and rediscover the magic of the big screen without breaking the bank.

As of March 18th, 2026, several films are currently playing in cinemas during the Printemps du Cinéma, including:

A Long-Standing Tradition
The Printemps du Cinéma has been a popular event in France since 2000, organized annually by the FNCF. It is one of several initiatives by the FNCF to promote cinema attendance, including the Fête du cinéma (Cinema Festival) in the summer and the now-discontinued Rentrée du cinéma (Back to Cinema) in September.
Past Successes
In 2000, the first edition of Printemps du Cinéma attracted 2.3 million attendees with a ticket price of 20 French Francs (€3.05). In 2001, 2.5 million people participated, and in 2002, 2.1 million moviegoers took advantage of the €3.00 ticket price.
