Incident explosion what happened in SMAN 72 Jakarta Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, suddenly became the public’s attention. The explosion which resulted in dozens of injuries is still being investigated by the police.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri said the explosion occurred during Friday prayers or soljum. He said the explosion occurred during a sermon.

Update on Injured Victims of Jakarta School Explosion
The Chair of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), Margaret Aliyatul maimunah, visited victims of the explosion at SMAN 72 Kelapa Gading at Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital (RSI Cempaka Putih).Margaret reported that seven victims were undergoing surgery at the hospital.
“Some require surgery.The latest data indicated around seven children were in surgery,but those whose conditions permitted were discharged to go home,” Margaret stated at the Jakarta Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital,Central Jakarta,Friday evening (November 7).

Margaret indicated that 14 victims were hospitalized at this facility. Data collection is ongoing to determine the precise number of victims who have received treatment.
“Initial reports stated 33 children were present, but the number increased upon my arrival. this increase occurred as some children were transferred to local health centers (puskesmas) as their conditions did not necessitate continued hospital care.”
