Jakarta Floods: 168 Neighborhoods Affected as of February 20, 2026

As of 4:00 PM local time on Friday, February 20, 2026, flooding has impacted 168 RT (neighborhood units) and 7 roads across Jakarta, Indonesia. The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is actively monitoring the situation and coordinating response efforts.

Flood Distribution by Region

The most significant impact is in South Jakarta, with 89 RT affected. Flooding has also been reported in West Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta.

West Jakarta

A total of 33 RT are flooded in West Jakarta, with water levels ranging from 30 to 80 centimeters. The flooding is attributed to high rainfall and overflow from the Angke River. Specific areas affected include:

  • Kedaung Kali Angke: 11 RT (30-80 cm)
  • Rawa Buaya: 11 RT (30-70 cm)
  • Kebon Jeruk: 1 RT (40 cm)
  • South Kedoya: 5 RT (80 cm)
  • South Kembangan: 3 RT (40 cm)
  • North Kembangan: 2 RT (40 cm)

South Jakarta

South Jakarta is the most heavily affected area, with 89 RT experiencing flooding. Water levels vary, with the primary causes being high rainfall and overflow from the Krukut, Ciliwung, Pesanggrahan, and Uangan rivers. Affected areas include:

  • West Cilandak: 1 RT (30 cm)
  • Pondok Labu: 1 RT (30 cm)
  • West Cape: 1 RT (40 cm)
  • North Cipete: 3 RT (60 cm)
  • Petogogan: 39 RT (50-80 cm)
  • Pondok Pinang: 6 RT (90 cm)
  • Pela Mampang: 2 RT (30 cm)
  • Rawajati: 3 RT (30 cm)
  • East Cilandak: 2 RT (40-85 cm)
  • East Pejaten: 3 RT (95 cm)
  • Bintaro: 8 RT (40-70 cm)
  • Pesanggrahan: 9 RT (30-60 cm)
  • North Petukangan: 10 RT (100 cm)
  • Ulujami: 1 RT (90 cm)

East Jakarta

East Jakarta reports 45 flooded RT, primarily due to high rainfall and overflow from the Ciliwung River. Key affected areas are:

  • Kampung Melayu: 16 RT (110-150 cm)
  • Bidara Cina: 19 RT (80-125 cm)
  • Balekambang: 1 RT (80 cm)
  • Cawang: 7 RT (40-80 cm)
  • Cililitan: 2 RT (80 cm)

North Jakarta

North Jakarta has one flooded RT in Rorotan, with a water level of 50 centimeters, caused by high rainfall and overflow from the Cakung Drain River.

Flooded Roads

Seven roads are currently flooded:

  • Jl. Pondok Karya, Pela Mampang, South Jakarta (60 cm)
  • Jl. Raya Strategy, Joglo, West Jakarta (30 cm)
  • Jl. Basoka Raya, Joglo, West Jakarta (40 cm)
  • Jl. Puri Kembangan (Front of Budi Murni Vocational School), Kedoya Selatan, West Jakarta (60 cm)
  • Jl. Daan Mogot (Glass factory), Rawa Buaya, West Jakarta (30 cm)
  • Jl. Kali Secretary of Pospol RW.05, Duri Kepa, West Jakarta (30 cm)
  • Jl. Daan Mogot, KM 13, Rawa Buaya, West Jakarta (40 cm)

Response Efforts

The BPBD DKI Jakarta is deploying personnel to monitor conditions, coordinate with relevant services (SDA Service, Highways Service, and Gulkarmat Service), and provide basic necessities to those affected. Efforts are underway to pump out floodwaters and ensure drainage systems are functioning properly, in collaboration with local village and sub-district heads.
