AIDS Walk Los Angeles Returns to West Hollywood
After a year, AIDS Walk Los Angeles returned to West Hollywood on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Organized by APLA Health, the city’s main non-profit association for HIV care, prevention adn sexual health services, this year’s theme, “The community is the remedy,” highlights the power of unity in the progress against HIV/AIDS. Registration for participants is now open at Aidswalk.
The day starts at West Hollywood Park with live entertainment, including a performance by RuPaul’s Drag Race star Heidi N Closet, DJ sets and community stands. After the morning festivities, the walkers will descend into the streets of West hollywood, joining thousands of Angelenos in a show of solidarity and support for people affected by HIV.
“This event was born as an emergency, and it is just as relevant today,” said craig E. Thompson, CEO of APLA Health. “We have made astonishing progress in the fight against HIV, but this progress is directly threatened by funding cuts and political attacks. It is now the time to show that we will not be silenced or withdrawn.”
