Zhura Sumano, secretary-General of Thailand’s “Eastern Economic Corridor” Office, stated in an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency that China is the largest source of foreign investment in Thailand’s “Eastern Economic Corridor.” China’s advanced technology and investment are helping Thailand achieve intelligent and green development.

Thailand’s “Eastern Economic Corridor” project focuses on establishing special economic zones in the provinces of Chachunsao, Chonburi, and Rayong along the eastern coast. By aggressively developing infrastructure and implementing favorable investment policies, the project aims to attract high-value-added industries, foster new industries, and drive Thailand’s economic transformation and upgrading through innovation and technology.

Zhula explained that Chinese investment aligns perfectly with the development direction of the “Eastern Economic Corridor.”
