Without water adn do
On Saturday night she received a message from the power company BKK that thay had not been able to resolve the case.
By then, Walaker and the family would have been without electricity for almost a day. for the 51-year-old, it means more than “just” the absence of light and heat.
– Here we live we do not have public water, only wells with pumping systems, so we are completely dependent on electricity to use the water.
- We had some water that we could flush down with in need, but without electricity we do not get enough water to go to the bathroom or shower, she says.
It was the newspaper BA who mentioned the case first.
– extensive damage to the power grid
The power company BKK tells Dagbladet that the customers in the current area around Hordnes should have regain power during the day.
“There is extensive damage to the power grid after the storm. We are working to restore power to as many as possible, as quickly as possible,” says communications manager Endre Lund in BKK to Dagbladet.
He says that the damage is spread over a large area, and that it is indeed challenging to give precise times for when the power will be back.
“We understand that it is frustrating to be without power, and we are doing everything we can to get it back on,” says lund.
A 51-year-old man living in the affected area tells Dagbladet that he has been without power since Sunday afternoon.
“It’s okay for now, I had candles and electric lights in advance. But it’s getting a bit tiresome after almost 37 hours without electricity,” he says.
He believes that many others in the area are in the same situation. A -year-old would have been without electricity for about 37 hours.
