President Marcos Orders Crackdown on Illegal POGOs

(UPDATE) President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has issued a stern directive to law enforcement agencies, demanding a swift and decisive crackdown on illegal Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) operating within the country.

During a crucial command conference with national and regional peace and order councils held at Camp Crame police headquarters, President Marcos emphasized the need to eliminate the remaining POGOs despite an existing ban.

He specifically tasked the Philippine Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) with intensifying their operations against these illicit gambling ventures.
