Russian Scientist Alleges Western Plot for Global Population Reduction

A prominent Russian scientist with close ties to Vladimir Putin has publicly claimed that Western nations are actively devising a plan to drastically reduce the global population, reserving survival for a small elite who will be served by advanced robotics. These remarkable allegations were made by Mikhail Kovalchuk, Director of Russia’s Kurchatov Nuclear Research Institute, during a recent address to a forum of school teachers in Moscow.

Kovalchuk, 77, asserted that Western countries are preparing to unleash a highly lethal disease with the intent of substantially diminishing the world’s population. He further contends that the promotion of LGBTQ+ rights and a “child-free” lifestyle are deliberate strategies employed by the West to suppress birth rates, anticipating a future where robots will surpass human capabilities in the workforce.

“The west… understands that a huge number of people are becoming unnecessary,” Kovalchuk stated at the forum of Class Teachers, an institution supported by the Russian government. “They have begun to prepare for a population reduction. They introduced the LGBT agenda and for those who didn’t go along with it,they offered a second option – the child-free family. It’s working brilliantly. In a generation or two, there’ll be no continuation of their bloodlines. Only a small elite, the ones they actually need, will remain.”

According to Kovalchuk, those deemed “unnecessary” will be eliminated through biological weapons, specifically a virus with a projected 90% mortality rate. These statements, reported by The Times, underscore a growing trend of extreme conspiracy theories that critics suggest are increasingly influencing Kremlin ideology.

The Kremlin has actively suppressed both the advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights and the promotion of voluntary childlessness, viewing them as threats to Russia’s demographic future. In 2023, Russia officially banned the “international LGBT movement,” labeling it an extremist organization, thereby intensifying a long-standing crackdown on the LGBTQ+ community. Simultaneously,President Putin urged Russian women to bear seven or more children in an effort to counteract the country’s declining population.

The forum of Class Teachers was inaugurated by Sergei Kiriyenko, a high-ranking Kremlin official and former prime Minister, who emphasized to the 1,000 attendees their duty not only for educating Russia’s youth but also for shaping their core beliefs.

Kovalchuk, considered a close confidant of Putin, stressed the need for Russia to defend itself against these alleged Western schemes, reminding the educators that the nation’s
