Joan Laporta has been re-elected as president of FC Barcelona, securing a second consecutive term after winning Sunday’s election. The victory extends his leadership of the Spanish soccer powerhouse, with his tenure now set to continue until 2031.

Election Results and Voter Turnout

Laporta received 36,117 votes, significantly surpassing his opponent, Víctor Font. This represents a substantial lead, with Laporta garnering 68% of the votes cast. The Novel York Times reported that Font received 30% of the vote, with the remaining votes being either void or invalid.

Despite the decisive outcome, voter turnout was moderate, with approximately 42.34% of eligible members participating in the election. Key Figures Participate in Voting

The election saw participation from prominent figures within the club, including head coach Hansi Flick and players such as Pau Cubarsi and Dani Olmo.
