Lidl Recalls Protein Bars Due to Undeclared Allergen

Lidl has issued a recall for its Available Healthy Fit Vegan Protein Bar after the product was found to contain canola rapeseed protein isolate, an allergen not listed on the packaging. This poses a potential health risk to individuals with mustard allergies, who may experience symptoms like rashes, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting.

Currently, the recall is limited to products sold in Northern Ireland. Multiple batches are affected, and the unlabeled allergen could cause a serious reaction.

The impacted batches have best before dates of February 28, 2026, march 31, 2026, April 30, 2026, and July 31, 2026.

The official warning states: “Healthy Fit is recalling the above Vegan Protein Bar due to the presence of canola rapeseed protein isolate. This ingredient can cause an allergic reaction to consumers with a mustard allergy.” Consumers with a mustard allergy are advised not to consume the product and to return it to the store where it was purchased.
