Rockies Secure Home Series Victory Over Twins, 10-6
DENVER (AP) – Ezequiel Tovar‘s decisive three-run home run in the fifth inning propelled the Colorado Rockies to a 10-6 win against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night, marking their first home series win since late last season.Ryan McMahon connected for a home run for the second consecutive game, and Hunter Goodman contributed with three hits, culminating in a two-run shot in the eighth. Tovar and Mickey Moniak each recorded three hits for the Rockies, contributing to their offensive success.
Minnesota’s Zebby Matthews (1-2) struggled in his return from the injured list, allowing five runs on eight hits over four-plus innings before being replaced after the first two batters reached base in the fifth. He had been sidelined for six weeks with a shoulder strain.
The game was delayed by 38 minutes due to rainfall.
Turning Point
