the Titan 2: A Return to Physical Keyboards with Modern Power
Introducing the Next Generation
The Titan 2, a new smartphone boasting a full physical QWERTY keyboard, is now available for pre-order through a successful Kickstarter campaign. Having already exceeded its initial funding target of $100,000, the Titan 2 is poised to deliver a unique mobile experience. Anticipated retail pricing is $399, with shipping expected to begin in October 2025. Though, early adopters can secure a unit for a special price of $269.
Performance and Design Refinements
Under the hood, the Titan 2 is driven by a powerful Dimensity 7300 8-core processor, clocked between 2.0 and 2.6GHz, and paired with 12GB of RAM and a generous 512GB of storage. This represents a significant performance leap over the original Titan released in 2019. Beyond the internal upgrades, the device itself has undergone a design overhaul, becoming noticeably slimmer – reduced from 16.65mm to 10.85mm – and lighter, weighing in at 235 grams (a reduction of approximately 68 grams). A 5,050mAh battery provides power, supporting 33W fast charging, though wireless charging is not included.
Display and Versatile Functionality
The Titan 2 features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,440 x 1,440 pixels – an increase in clarity compared to the previous model. While the resolution may seem modest in today’s market, the device prioritizes functionality and productivity over sheer screen size. Adding to its versatility, a secondary 2-inch display is integrated into the rear of the phone, offering a resolution of 410 x 502 pixels. This rear screen serves as a convenient hub for notifications, widgets, and even as a viewfinder for selfies.
Enhanced Camera System
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor alongside an 8MP telephoto lens, providing flexibility for various shooting scenarios. For selfies and video calls, a high-resolution 32MP front-facing camera is included.
Reimagined Keyboard Experience
A core focus of the titan 2 is its redesigned QWERTY keyboard. Unihertz has focused on delivering a more cozy and responsive typing experience. The keyboard offers customizable shortcuts via long and short presses on each key, and supports gesture-based scrolling across the key surfaces.
Connectivity and Additional Features
The Titan 2 incorporates the latest connectivity options, including Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an infrared port, and dual-band GPS. It also retains popular features from the original Titan, such as a fingerprint sensor and two programmable shortcut buttons. An integrated FM radio completes the feature set.
