Traffic Accident on Frosta: Woman Transported by air Ambulance

Just before 3:30 pm on Saturday,emergency services responded to a traffic accident on county road 822 (alstadvegen) in Frosta. A woman was transported to the hospital by air ambulance.

Three hours later, police remained at the scene.

“We’re conducting some investigative work and are still on site,” says operations manager Trond hangaas of the Trøndelag police district. “The vehicle has also been ordered for inspection.”

The driver has been questioned. While there’s currently no clear indication of intoxication, a blood test has been requested.

“Given the severity of the accident, we want to rule out any possibility of impairment,” Hangaas explains. “There isn’t an obvious suspicion, but we need to be certain.”

The air ambulance landed promptly after the collision and transported one person from the scene on a stretcher.
