Young Right-Wing Politician Charlie Kirk Shot During Utah Campus Speech
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – young right-wing politician from the united States, charlie Kirk (31), was shot while giving a speech at a Utah campus on Wednesday local time. Kirk, who is known to be close to the Republican Party and former US President Donald Trump, was interacting with students during a question-and-answer session.
Video footage circulating on social media from Utah Valley University shows Kirk speaking with a microphone while seated under a white tent displaying the slogans “The American Comeback” and “Prove Me Wrong.” Suddenly, a shot rang out, and Kirk was seen raising his right hand as blood poured from the left side of his neck.
According to NBC News on thursday, September 11, 2025, the astonished audience gasped and shouted before peopel began to flee. The Associated Press confirmed the video was taken at the Sorensen Center on the Utah Valley University campus.
“Do you know how many transgender Americans have been perpetrators of mass shootings in the past 10 years?” an audience member asked moments before the shooting.
