Investigation Uncovers Final Hours of Indonesian Diplomat Before Tragic Discovery

recent investigations into the death of a young Indonesian diplomat, identified only by the initials ADP,have revealed details of his activities in the hours leading up to his untimely passing. Authorities are piecing together a timeline based on witness statements and forensic evidence.

According to Commissioner Rezha Rahandhi of the Menteng Police, the last confirmed sighting of ADP showed him alive and well, consuming a meal within his lodging at a boarding house located on Gondangdia Kecil Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta. The boarding house’s night security personnel reported observing ADP eating in a designated kitchen area within the facility.”The security guard stated that the diplomat was seen having dinner in what functioned as a communal kitchen space within the boarding house,” Commissioner Rahandhi explained. “He also mentioned observing multiple deliveries, likely food orders placed through ride-hailing applications, arriving at the residence during the evening.”

This detail suggests ADP utilized convenient food delivery services, a common practice in Jakarta, were services like Gojek and GrabFood are incredibly popular. In 2023, Statista reported that Indonesia’s online food delivery market generated a revenue of US$3.64 billion, demonstrating the widespread reliance on these platforms for daily sustenance.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities meticulously examining all available evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding ADP’s death. The Ministry of foreign Affairs has expressed its deep sorrow over the loss and is cooperating fully with the police investigation.
