Person Rescued After Being Trapped Under E Line Train in Rancho Park

Los Angeles, CA – November 10, 2025 – A person was rescued Sunday morning after becoming trapped under an E Line (Expo Line) train near the Westwood/rancho Park station in Los Angeles. The incident caused meaningful delays on the line, but service has since been restored.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, first responders were dispatched to Westwood Boulevard, near the station, at approximately 10:30 a.m. on November 10, 2025. Firefighters found an individual pinned beneath a train that was operating at street level.

A complex and delicate extrication operation ensued, taking approximately 30 minutes to safely free the individual. Paramedics then transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition. As of this writing, the identity of the individual remains withheld, and details surrounding the circumstances leading to the incident are still under inquiry.

The los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) reported delays of 15 to 25 minutes on E Line trains consequently of the incident.
