An Italian fan who had ahead of seeing Oasis in Edinburgh last week died tragically in his hotel room a few hours before he was to see the group.
Alessandro Croce, a dentist and basketball player from Teramo, died in Scotland after collapsing at his hotel on August 9, according to a report Sky News.
The 30 -year -old fan would have prepared to attend the Oasis concert at the Murrayfield stadium when he suddenly fell ill. His friends tried to resuscitate him while they were waiting for the paramedical paramedics to arrive, who also tried to save him, but ultimately, all the efforts failed.
Sky News Italia reported that Croce had suffered a cardiac arrest, and it is understood that his family arrived in Edinburgh to steal his body at home in Italy.
Tributes have since flogged for the dentist and the basketball enthusiast.
Gianguido d’Alberto, the mayor of Teramo, was one of those who paid tribute and declared in a press release on social networks that “our city is deeply shaken by the death of Alessandro Croce”.
He sent his condolences to the 30 -year -old family, including his parents and sister, Giulia. His team, Teramo basketball, also said that it was “devastated” and that their community felt “deep pain” during the “sudden and premature” death of their player.
“Alessandro was not only a pillar of our team, but an integral part of our history and the heart of our association,” said a declaration to social media.

He followed another recent tragedy during an Oasis concert, after Lee Claydon, 45, a landscaped gardener from Bournemouth, fell to his death at one of their Wembley concerts.
A gofundme has been created to collect funds for his family, with the fundraising campaign – which is still active – by collecting more than £ 28,000 of the £ 20,000 targeted.
