Oracle Fuels Latin American Growth with Cloud and AI Investments

Oracle is experiencing significant growth in Latin America, driven by strong demand for its cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. The company is expanding its client base across various sectors, including travel, retail, finance, and telecommunications, even as also making strategic investments in sovereign cloud capabilities and partnerships to address regional data protection requirements.

Expanding Cloud Footprint in Latin America

Oracle’s total revenue for Q3 FY26, ending February 28, reached US$17.2 billion, a 22% year-over-year increase. Total cloud revenue, encompassing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS), grew to US$8.9 billion, a 44% increase. Notably, cloud infrastructure alone surged by 84% to US$4.9 billion, fueled by AI-driven demand [1].

Key customer acquisitions in the region include CVC, Latin America’s largest travel agency, and Sankhya, a Brazilian enterprise resource planning (ERP) company, both adopting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Banco BMG is a novel Oracle Cloud Applications customer, and Claro Brasil has selected OCI Alloy for “sovereign AI” initiatives [1]. Other clients include Entel (Chile, Peru), TIM Brasil, and Rappi (Colombia), as well as banks such as Bradesco and Mexico’s Banco del Bajío [1].

Sovereign AI and Strategic Partnerships

Claro Brasil’s adoption of OCI Alloy highlights a growing trend towards sovereign cloud solutions in Latin America. Oracle Alloy enables partners to operate cloud infrastructure within their own data centers, ensuring local data processing and compliance with regional data protection legislation. This partnership with Nvidia has positioned Claro as the first operator in Latin America to receive Nvidia Cloud Partner certification, offering GPU-as-a-Service for AI Training and Inference [1].

Oracle is actively negotiating new contracts for ‘sovereign’ cloud structures to serve Latin American governments and public organizations [4].

Multicloud Strategy and Regional Expansion

Oracle has expanded its multicloud partnerships, offering its Database cloud services across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The company now has 33 regions live with Microsoft, 14 with Google, and is expanding its AWS regions from two to 22 by the end of Q4 [1].

Future Outlook

Oracle has raised its FY27 revenue forecast to US$90 billion, anticipating continued growth in cloud services, particularly driven by AI demand. The company expects revenue of US$67 billion for fiscal year 2026, with capital expenditures remaining at US$50 billion [1]. Oracle’s fiscal year runs from June 1 to May 31.
