A new permit was filed wiht Orange County on November 7th, for work to be done at Universal Epic Universe. The permit is described as “Site Utilities and Foundation Work.”
The permit does not include a project number, or even for where within Epic Universe the work will take place.
The size of the project is listed as being 150,000 square feet though,which is much larger than some of the backstage work that has been permitted in recent months.
As many quickly pointed out, the size of the project seems to line up with the expansion plot within the Wizarding World land.
New Trailers Arrive Near Epic Universe – Could This Signal a New Wizarding World Attraction?
Speculation is swirling around a new project potentially taking shape at universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe.The arrival of trailers at a location near the Wizarding World expansion plot has sparked interest, and could be a sign of things to come.
The location of the trailers, as shown in the image above, is in close proximity to the ongoing Wizarding World construction. This timing coincides with multiple Notices of Commencement filed for new contracts at epic Universe, involving design firms specializing in theme park attractions and pre-construction planning.
further fueling the speculation is activity from Falcons Attractions, who recently acquired Oceaneering – a company reportedly working on enhancements to the “Battle at the Ministry” ride. Could Falcons Attractions have been contracted to manufacture a brand new ride for the Wizarding World? They have also been actively hiring for a large, unspecified Orlando-based project.

Could a Flying Broomstick Ride Be Coming to Epic Universe?
Speculation is running wild regarding a massive, mysterious show building under construction at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe. Many believe it could house a ride based around flying broomsticks, but potentially moving away from VR technology. Instead, the sheer size of the structure suggests the possibility of a tracked ride with elaborate physical sets and immersive environments.
Could the Quidditch World Cup signage spotted in Wizarding World of Paris have been a subtle preview of things to come?

Epic Universe & Universal Updates: Burning Blade Maintainance & Expansion Progress
construction continues to move forward at both Universal’s existing parks and the highly anticipated Epic Universe. Here’s a rapid rundown of the latest happenings:
The Burning Blade Tavern’s signature burning blades have been temporarily removed for maintenance. While a timeframe for their return hasn’t been announced, this allows for necessary upkeep of the popular attraction element.

On the Epic Universe front, signs have been added to the Sand Lake Rd facing side of the large tech services and food & beverage warehouses backstage.

Universal Orlando Resort is fully embracing the festive spirit with Snoggletog decorations appearing throughout the parks! But more importantly, the new seasonal mac and cheese cone has arrived! Recent updates show notable progress in the demolition of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. A new wall is currently being constructed along the waterfront in CityWalk, situated alongside the new guest pathway being built in front of the former roller coaster’s location. Nearly all remnants of the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit have been removed, including the entire station building.
