Russian Forces Involved in Deadly Firefight in Kherson Region

Russian forces stationed in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region engaged in a shootout with each other, resulting in 21 soldiers killed and 17 injured.The incident was reported by the guerrilla movement Atesh.

The collision occurred on august 19 between the 127th Ruzta Intelligence Brigade and the 24th Motor Rifle Brigade.

Believing they were under attack by a Ukrainian assault group, the brigade alerted a reserve unit, leading to a chaotic exchange of fire. The pleasant fire incident highlights tensions and potential miscommunication within the Russian ranks.
