NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing Enhance Gaming Experiences
NVIDIA is rolling out DLSS 4.5 and path tracing support to a growing number of games, promising significant improvements in image quality, and immersion. The latest advancements, including DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, are set to arrive on March 31st, with several AAA titles already integrating or upgrading to utilize the technology.
DLSS 4.5: Dynamic Multi Frame Generation
DLSS 4.5 introduces Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, which will be available starting March 31st. This technology aims to maximize and match a monitor’s refresh rate, dynamically switching between 1x to 6x frame generation modes to maintain a consistent frame rate, particularly beneficial for high refresh rate gaming (240Hz+). The 6x mode can provide up to a 33% boost at 4K resolution in titles like Black Myth: Wukong when running at maximum settings with path tracing enabled, with a slight increase in latency of around 10-15%.
