Comets to Brighten October Skies

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – The October sky will be decorated with several comets passing near Earth, namely C/2025 R2 (SWAN) and C/2025 A6 (Lemmon). Both are expected to reach maximum brightness around the same time.

They’re estimated to reach their closest distance to Earth around October 21, and might even be visible to the naked eye under dark skies.

This event coincides with the peak of the Orionid meteor shower and the new Moon, creating conditions for what could be one of the most stunning celestial displays in recent years.
