Midtown International School is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator for a full-time Middle School science faculty position, starting November 2025. This role focuses on inspiring middle school students through engaging and innovative science instruction.
About the Role
You will teach two sections each of Earth Science (6th Grade) and Life Science (7th Grade), alongside potential electives. We’re looking for someone who can create a dynamic learning environment and foster a love of science in our students.
What We’re Looking For
We need a teacher who excels in instructional design and implementation. You’ll demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students – and we strongly prefer a move away from traditional worksheets and secondary texts.
Successful candidates will:
- Develop and maintain organized, well-planned, and thoroughly researched lesson plans that cater to all learners.
- Proactively plan and implement projects, problem-based learning opportunities, and instructional technology.
- Incorporate resources from a variety of viewpoints and experts to broaden student understanding.
- Employ effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
