US Doctors Successfully Transplant Pig Kidney into Human, Patient Now Free from Dialysis

Jakarta – A man in New Hampshire, United States, received a pig kidney transplant too cure the kidney failure he experienced. This event marks an crucial step in determining whether animal organs can save human lives.

The man, Bill Stewart (54), willingly underwent the experimental operation on tuesday, June 14, 2025. The operation was triumphant,and Stewart has returned to work.

“I really want to contribute to the knowledge behind it,” Bill Stewart, an athletic coach from dover, New Hampshire, told The Associated Press.

Stewart has high blood pressure, which led to kidney failure.Individuals with his blood type typically face a seven-year wait for a suitable kidney from a human donor, and manny potential donors do not meet the requirements.
