Surakarta Palace succession: Daughter of Pakubuwono XIII Confirms Crown Prince Appointment

Daughter of Pakubuwono XIII Hangabehi, GKR Timoer rumbai Kusuma Dewayani, has addressed the issue of succession at the Surakarta Palace.

The first child of Pakubuwono XIII emphasized that her father had already appointed KGPAA Hamangkunegoro Sudibyo Rajaputra Narendra ing Mataram as the crown prince.

“I must emphasize, Sinuhun (Pakubuwono XIII) has appointed and inaugurated the crown prince,” said Timoer after accompanying Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono.

Timoer confirmed that the king’s immediate family had agreed to uphold the wishes of the late Pakubuwono XIII.

“He gave a mandate to us, his sons and daughters, and we have to carry out that mandate,” she said.

The children of Pakubuwono XIII have agreed to install KGPAA hamangkunegoro as King of the Surakarta Palace.

“We have to exciting (appointed) the crown prince.”
