Grenoble Attack: Man Arrested, Explosives Found in Connection with 2025 Olympic Village Bombing

Grenoble, France – A man has been arrested in Grenoble following the discovery of explosives during a raid connected to the February 12, 2025, grenade attack in the Olympic Village district. The arrest, carried out on February 25, 2026, by police supported by the RAID tactical unit, is linked to an investigation into domestic violence and harassment.

Details of the Arrest and Explosive Discovery

The operation took place at approximately 6:00 a.m. On Rue du Docteur-Bordier. Authorities considered the suspect, a man in his fifties, to be potentially armed and dangerous, prompting the deployment of the RAID unit to ensure a secure arrest. The suspect was apprehended at his residence without incident and is currently in custody.

During a search of the premises, investigators discovered two grenades. Specialists from Lyon were called in to secure and remove the explosive devices source.
