Louvre Robbery shocks Paris, Suspects Still at Large

Paris – French police continue to hunt down a gang of robbers who stole eight priceless royal jewels from the Museum Louvre in the heart of Paris in broad daylight. Dozens of investigators are conducting a thorough investigation into the robbery.

French officials, as reported by AFP on October 20, 2025, said that a team of 60 investigators is investigating allegations that the jewelry theft was planned and carried out by an organized crime group.

The incident has sparked debate in France about security shortcomings in the country’s museums. Interior Minister Laurent Nunez acknowledged a lack of security as a “major weak point.”
