Jakarta, CNN indonesia — The Metro Jaya Cyber Directorate has apprehended a 22-year-old man, identified as WFT, suspected of being the hacker known as ‘Bjorka.’
WFT, originally from West Kakas, Minahasa, north Sulawesi, is believed to operate the social media accounts @bjorka and @bjarasiaia.
“The suspect is the owner of the X social media account – formerly known as Twitter – under the names Bjorka and @bjarasiaia,” stated AKBP Reald Simanjuntak of the Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Department on Thursday (October 2nd).
WFT was taken into custody in Totolan Village, West Kakas, Minahasa on September 23rd.
The arrest followed a report filed by a private bank on April 17,2025,alleging that WFT had posted a display of the bank’s customer database on the X account @bjajaraniaAA.
WFT also reportedly sent a message to the bank’s official account, claiming to have hacked a customer database of 4.9 million accounts.
AKBP Herman Edco Wijaya Simbolon of the Metro Jaya Cyber Directorate’s Sub-directorate IV, stated that WFT’s motive was to blackmail the private bank. Though, edco emphasized that the extortion attempt was unsuccessful as the bank promptly reported the incident to the police.
Investigations revealed that WFT had been active on social media, claiming to be Bjorka as 2020, and also maintained an account on a Dark Forum under the same alias.
On february 5, 2025, WFT’s Dark forum account gained public attention, prompting him to change the account name to Skywave.
