Macron Responds to Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Claim

Jakarta – French President Emmanuel Macron responded to US President Donald Trump‘s claim that he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. Macron stated the prize could be awarded if Trump were to successfully halt the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

According to a report by the AFP news agency on wednesday, September 24, 2025, during an interview on the sidelines of the UN General Session in New York, Macron said, “There is only one person who can do something in the current situation, namely the American President.”

“I see an American president who is mobilized and who said this morning (Tuesday before the General Assembly) ‘I want peace, I will resolve this conflict.’ Who wants a Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Peace Prize can only be obtained if you stop this conflict,” Macron said.
