Netanyahu Accuses Spanish PM of Threatening Israel
Tel Aviv – Teh quarrel between Israel and Spain regarding the gaza war continues. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accuses Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez of having made a “threat of genocide” too Tel aviv, triggering an angry reaction from Madrid.
“I don’t think Netanyahu is the one who has the right to lecture anyone while doing the cruelty he does in Gaza,” said the Spanish defence Minister, Margarita Robles, while talking to local television Antenna 3 and reported by AFP Saturday (9/13/2025).
Robles’s comments were conveyed in response to Netanyahu’s latest statement,via social media X,who accused Sanchez of having threatened Israel. This has become the latest argument between the two countries, who have been involved in disputes since the beginning of this week.
The dispute began on Monday (8/9), when Sanchez announced nine steps aimed at stopping what he called “genocide in Gaza”.These steps include a permanent weapons embargo, an import ban from occupied territory, and a prohibition of entry into Spain for individuals involved in the Gaza War.
