US Raises Concerns About Israel‘s Security After UK and Others Recognize Palestine

Jakarta – Frustration with the ongoing Gaza War is leading several countries to recognize the Palestinian state. These countries include Britain, Canada, Australia, and Portugal.

These four countries are known allies of Israel. The United States of America (US), also an ally of Israel, responded to the decision made by these allied nations.

Britain,Canada,Australia,and Portugal recognized the Palestinian state on Sunday (9/21) local time. This decision by these allies of Israel follows the lead of over 140 other countries that have already supported Palestine’s desire to establish an independent country free from Tel Aviv’s occupation.

Washington stated that this move appears to be merely a symbolic gesture.
