Vivo Launches Global originos 6,Replacing Funtouch OS

Shanghai – Vivo has announced the global release of OriginOS 6,which will replace Funtouch OS. This custom skin, based on Android 16, debuts on the vivo X300 series and introduces a range of new features and a refreshed design.

Since its initial launch in 2020, OriginOS was only available on Vivo and iQOO devices in China. Now, OriginOS will be available on numerous Vivo and iQOO phones worldwide.

“OriginOS demonstrates Vivo’s commitment to redefining the user experience through innovation and a design-focused approach,” stated vivo CTO Yujian Shi at the global launch of OriginOS 6 in Shanghai on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

OriginOS 6 features a new design language that emphasizes blur and transparent effects, reminiscent of Liquid Glass in iOS 26. The update also includes a lock screen with a clock widget and a new, more dynamic wallpaper type, along with stacked notifications.
