Houthi Attacks Israeli Tanker in red Sea

Sanaa – The Houthi group, based in Yemen, announced they launched missiles at a tanker sailing in the Red Sea. This attack follows the death of the Prime Minister who led their goverment in Yemen.

Houthi fighters targeted the Liberian-flagged tanker, Scarlet Ray, in their latest operation, as reported by AFP on September 1, 2025. This Iran-backed group previously attacked two other tankers in july.

Houthi claims their recent attack directly hit the tanker. However,the British Maritime Trade Operation (UKMTO) stated the attack missed its target.
