Trump Warns New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani
Jakarta – United States President Donald Trump warned newly elected new York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani following a dispute between the two.
Trump urged Mamdani to treat him with respect, stating that Mamdani delivered an angry speech against him.
Trump characterized Mamdani’s remarks as “very risky statements” made during a victory speech in Brooklyn, New York City.

“I thought his speech was very angry. Of course, angry at me, and I think he should have been nice to me. I’m the one who has to agree to a lot of things that are going to happen to him, so he got off to a bad start,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News, as reported by Anadolu Agency on Friday (November 7, 2025).
Mamdani reportedly addressed Trump directly, stating: “So, listen to me, President Trump, when I say this: To get to one of us, you have to get through to all of us.”
Trump responded by reminding Mamdani to “respect Washington.”
