Jalani Hukuman, Eks Presiden Prancis Nicolas Sarkozy Dibawa ke Penjara
Paris – Former President French nicolas Sarkozy began serving his sentence in prison on Tuesday (21/10) local time. Sarkozy was found guilty of his efforts to obtain funding Libya to run for president in 2007.
Sarkozy, as reported AFP Tuesday (2025/10/21), left his house holding hands with his wife, Carla Bruni, who is a famous singer adn model, and went to the prison where he was being held in a car escorted by French police.
“Nicolas, Nicolas! Free Nicolas,” shouted a crowd of Sarkozy supporters who had gathered on the street outside his house.

Sarkozy, who led France from 2007 to 2012, will be the first former head of state of a European union country to serve time behind bars.
He was sentenced to five years in prison at a trial last September on charges of criminal conspiracy.
