Kirrawee, NSW – A sweet sixteenth birthday celebration in Sydney’s south descended into chaos on Friday night as an estimated 500 uninvited guests gatecrashed the party, prompting a significant police response. Escalation at a Suburban Home
Emergency services were first called to a residence on Bounty Avenue in Kirrawee around 7:15 PM on Friday, according to reports from The Sydney Morning Herald. Local police initially attempted to disperse the large gathering, but reinforcements were quickly requested as the situation escalated.
Arrests and Allegations
Three 16-year-old boys were arrested during the incident. One of the boys allegedly threw a can of alcohol at a police officer, leading to his arrest after the officer deployed capsicum spray. NSW Police stated that during the arrest, officers allege the boy resisted. All three were released without charge pending further inquiries and are expected to be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.

CCTV footage obtained by Nine News showed crowds surrounding the home and officers attempting to manage the unruly crowd. One witness reported seeing multiple arrests, describing the scene as “very chaotic.”
